Not a whole lot going on...

Today has been spent doing some fall cleaning. I have been meaning to box up somethings for storage for a while now and have finally gotten around to it. While I was doing this, I came across my Miss America plates that I forgot to share with you all! I got them the day of the big flea market at a yard sale right across from the entrance. I decided to stop by and I am so glad that I did. The lady running the sale did not have prices on anything. Sometimes this is good, and others not so good--but in my case it was good. I knew that the plates were Miss America and I thought were only going to be worth about 15 bucks each, so when she said a dollar each I jumped at the chance. I also liked that they were pink glass, which is always worth more because they have to use real gold to get the color. From the picture you can't tell it's pink.....but it is. Anyways, the best part to this story is when I went to look them up when I got home. I have 3 different books I go by and one said they were valued at $25 each and the other said $50 each. I bought all seven and I am sure glad I did!!!

Hi Emily - thanks so much for thinking of me. I appreciate it! I'm sorry, but I just don't participate in the whole tagging thing. I wrote about it in my post on Sept. 9th. I hope you will understand. Thank you again, Heidi
