Finds Part 3

I don't know if I have ever mentioned that yellow is my favorite color. I usually will buy anything vintage that is yellow. This was the case when I found this cake carrier. I was at a thrift store and could not believe the $7.00 price tag. It is in wonderful shape, no rust and only a few tiny dents. The locks still work as well. I can't wait till I have my yellow kitchen some day, because I am sure this will look really cute sitting out somewhere!
A few days later I found the Flan plan at another thrift store for $0.99. I liked that it was almost the same color as the carrier and had the same writing on it. I also liked that it had a recipe on the back. This pan also looks like it was either never used or only once or twice. I love when you find items like that, don't you??

Finds Part 2

A few weeks ago, I attended this awesome estate sale. The lady that lived in the house was a WWII nurse and it looked like she held on to everything. The house was pretty packed and it was the second day of the sale. The lady running said she had sold a lot of stuff the first day, so I can only imagine how packed it was the day before! There was lots of stuff still in the packing. Here is just some of the things that I picked up at this sale. The toys are in mint condition and still in the boxes! They were only a dollar each!!! The serving spoon was also only a dollar. I originally bought it for the booth, but like many things that are bought for there, I am holding onto it for now.
Just a short little update for now. I went to a few estate sales today and have a lot of stuff to sort out, clean, and take pictures of!!

Some of My Finds

I finally broke out the camera to take some pictures of my recent finds for the blog. Instead of doing one long post, I am going to do it in a few...or maybe even more!

This is one of my favorite things I have found since I have started doing the whole estate sale thing. I got the Swanky Swigs at a thrift store close to my college while I was on a break in between some classes. The best part was the thrift store was having this promotion where if you had a student ID you got an additional 20% off your purchase. So....I ended up only paying $6.00 for seven glasses (even though only 6 are pictured). Then, two days later I was at an estate sale and found the carrier for only a buck!!! The whole thing cost me less than ten bucks and I am super thrilled. I looked this up on eBay, and it seems like they can go for big bucks!! I feel like I got such a deal!!

Vintage Pink Christmas Swap

It's been forever since I have posted anything. It's getting to be the end of the semester at school and that means it's term paper time! I have been working hard at school and haven't found enough time in the day to get all the things done that I want. It will be nice when things slow down in a month!!

Anyways!!! The other day in the mail I received my Vintage Pink Christmas Swap from Deb. I was sooooo excited! Deb got everything right, I loved it all.

There was a vintage apron, pattern, hankie, 3 cards, an adorable little pickle ornament, snowflake ornaments (that my mom stole ;)), tissues with stocking on them, and a cute little box with some angels on it. Deb also made me these sweet cards and awesome notebook!!!

Thank you sooo much Deb!! I can't for Christmas to come now!!
