A Good Day

Today was a good day! I made it out to the flea market before 12 p.m. and by the time I got there, it was hopping. It made me wish I would have made myself get out of bed earlier! The vendor I usually buy from wasn't there this week so I had to be on the lookout for other worthy booths. Oh well! I didn't leave empty handed. Here's the goods:

I was so excited when I asked the lady how much and she said $3.00!!!!!! I couldn't get the one's out of my wallet fast enough before I thought she'd change her mind!! :) There were a few very light small stains, but BIZ got most of them out. You can hardly see them. What do you think of the pattern? I love it!

These plates I really had to bargain for. The guy first said he wanted something like $4.00 a piece. No way was I going to pay that! I finally got him to agree to $2.00 each. The pictures came out a lot darker than what they are in person.


The first is a marked Fire King.



The second isn't marked Fire King and it may or may not be. I had never seen anything like it before and so I bought it!




So, when I got out to my car to head out and hit up the yard sales I saw on my way done there, my car wouldn't start. I was so bummed. I had to call my dad to jump me. That didn't really work either. We found out that I needed a new battery. So no more purchases for the day. I was bummed but I couldn't be too upset because my dad went out and got me a new battery and now my car is allllll better!!

I wanted to share with you something that I saw at the flea market today that kinda made me sad. This lady was selling these garden stakes that she made out of vintage glassware and Depression glass.......stuff that was worth a lot of $$$$. Although it was a cute idea, I couldn't help but feel sad to see all those great pieces of glass hot glued to one another.
