Product Review: Maybelline New York Falsies Mascara

I am a self confessed mascara nut. I love have thick, long, dark lashes and am on a consent search for the perfect mascara. I used to love Max Factor, but stupid P & G decided to no longer carry Max Factor in the USA. I don't know what I am going to do when my pan stick runs out. If any of my UK readers would be willing to send me some, I could send you something too!!

Anyways, I was on a make-up buying spree the other day and decided to try out Maybelline's Falsies Mascara. I was quite skeptical, as I feel that most of these companies and their claims never really seem to be true, but to my surprise, it actually did most of the things it promises to do.

I find that it makes my lashes longer, a bit fuller, and overall gives the slight appearance of fake lashes. While I don't feel that it really gives the look of "falsies" I do like that it washes off pretty easily and doesn't flake while wearing. I do find that it can have the tendency to clump a bit, but I do like to put on a few coats, so if you are only putting on one, I don't see the clumping to be a problem. I think with this mascara that how you apply it is everything.

My overall rating is 4 out of 5. It's priced under $10 and does most of what it says it will do.

Thanks for the review! I actually bought some of this but haven't opened it yet. I've been using another one by Maybelline that comes in a yellow tube (can't recall the name) but I cannot get it to completely wash off my lashes, even with makeup remover. I'm glad to hear that you think Falsies is easy to remove.

I like a washable, waterproof mascara. There is only one that I can find locally and I will be sad if it's discontinued. I expect any make-up I love to be discontinued eventually.

Tray ebay for the pan stick. Might be cheaper than postage to and from Europe.

I'd happily send you pan stick but I'm not sure they still sell it in the U.K either. I certainly don't recall having seen any for ages...... I can have a looksee for you just to be sure tomorrow.

I tried the waterproof one and ended up throwing it out after a few uses. It messed with my contacts too much. Have you tried Rimmle's MAX? I like it best next to Bad Gal Lash by Benefit because it has a really big brush like their's but doesn't have a $19 price tag.

We still sell Max Factor in Australia - it's probably a little more expensive than what you are used to but there are fairly regular $10 off sales. I work at Target so I could look out for one and let you know (you'd get my 5% staff discount too!) in case you wanted me to pick anything up for you. Just let me know! :)

ok, done a little research for you. They don't sell panstick in any of the local drugstores or department stores but you can order it online direct from Max Factor in the U.K. It looks like the 'not in store' is a nationwide thing in the U.K now, so I would say Miss Emmi's offer might be your best bet.
Sorry.

Thanks Miss Magpie for looking into this for me!! It was very sweet of you!

Miss Emmi, once I run out, or get close to it, I'll send you a message. Thanks soooo much!!! I just love Max Factor!

Naomi, I haven't tried that one, but it will be next on my list.

Cookbook Junkie, I also expect all make-up I like to become discontinued. I try to not try new stuff and stick with stuff that has been out for years. I also will buy a ton of something if I find out that I love it. I am always afraid that make-up with stop being produced because companies decide not to make them anymore. I haven't every tried sending it in to those online companies that will reproduce something for you, but I am thinking about it. Have you ever tried them?

Heidi, I bought the washable one. Apparently there is a waterproof one available too, which I didn't know until I was searching online for a stock photo of the mascara.Do you like the one in the yellow tube? I was thinking about trying that one out too.

Do you have the 'Bourjois' range of make-up in America? I love their Coup De Theatre mascara. I try others and just keep going back to it.

Oh and you are very welcome, if I could have helped I would. I know how it feels to find a favourite product gone.

I take back my earlier post.

I have found a shop that sells Max Factor Pan Stick - yay! £6.99 which is about $10
Just let me know if you want me to get you some :-)

This automatic 1 cup coffee maker is very easy to use, just push a button and you coffee is served. Its price range is approx. As the environment continues to change for the worse and more of us become aware of the harm that us humans are having on the environment the more energy inefficient appliances and gadgets are becoming fast out of fashion with the UK public.
