Butterfly Blues

It's still pretty hot here, but not as muggy, so that is a plus. This weather still isn't curl conducive; can't wait until I can wear curls again without them falling flat within the hour.

This is one of my favorite vintage dresses and I have no clue how it hasn't been shown on my blog yet. I lived in this dress last summer. If I had to pick, it would probably be my most favorite 40s house dresses I own. Aren't the off set buttons just darling?

I have been wearing my tennis shoes a lot lately. A much more comfortable approach than my Re-Mix shoes. Plus, I think it gives the vintage dress a slightly more edgy look. What do you think? Do tell!! ;)

miss emily, you look darling in this dress. and the tennis shoes are cute. and i'm sure very comfortable. i really love the straight hair with barette look on you. it's such a young, cute, carefree, everyday look. the curls are awesome, and i could see why you love to rock them. it's a look with all kinds of vintage fabulousness written all over it. my hair is stick straight and can't hold a curl to save its life. so it's awesome you can rock both looks.

I like the straighter hair, too! Lucky you have such versatile hair! I have naturally wavy hair and the humidity actually makes my hair get even more unruly and curly. I can never get it arrow straight...

That's the sweetest dress! Adorable details

I'm the same as the Baroness... I have naturally wavy hair so the weather that we've been having here in the Midwest has been making my hair HUGE and unruly! It's funny that it has the opposite effect on yours.

Surprisingly I don't even own a pair of tennis shoes now, I like how you paired yours with this dress-- gives it a fun youthful vibe. :)
